It has been decided that the 24th International Conference on Photochemical Conversion and Storage of Solar Energy: IPS24 will be held in Hiroshima from July 28th to August 2nd, 2024. This international conference has been held every other year since 1974 on the theme of chemical conversion of photoenergy and effective use of solar energy, and is expected to be the third time in 22 years that it will be held in Japan. Approximately five hundred world-leading researchers in photoenergy conversion from twenty-five countries are expected to participate.

Hiroshima was selected because of the following reasons: Hiroshima University, which boasts a high level of research capabilities, can be trusted to manage the conference; Hiroshima is blessed with well-known tourist resources, making it attractive to researchers from Japan and abroad; and Hiroshima is relatively accessible from overseas, making it convenient for participants.

We will continue to provide a full range of support with the health and safety of participants as our first priority, while paying close attention to the impact of COVID-19 infection. (MICE Promotion Department)
