Yamato Museum(Kure Maritime Museum)

The city of Kure, where the battleship Yamato was built, once flourished as the home of Japan's largest naval arsenal. After WWII, Kure built many of the world's largest tankers and played an important role in the development of Japan as the world's most prominent ship maker. At the Yamato Museum, you will find exhibits that convey the history of Kure to future generations.
